Darren has an MPhys in Astrophysics from the University of St Andrews and a PhD in Physics from the University of Sheffield. His PhD focussed on the characterisation and optimisation of donor-acceptor conjugated copolymers for applications in bulk heterojunction organic photovoltaic devices. After completing his PhD, Darren continued his research into organic electronics at Ossila in which he developed perovskite precursor inks for air and nitrogen processing for the fabrication of solar cells, as well as formulating fabrication guides for a variety of polymer:fullerene blends for use in organic solar cells.
