His work includes: preparing and prosecuting patent applications; attacking or defending patents or patent applications (including handling oppositions before the European Patent Office and opinion procedures before the UK Intellectual Property Office); conducting hearings, appeals and entitlement proceedings; and all kinds of advice on patent matters, e.g. assessing intellectual property portfolios, providing opinions on infringement and/or validity, IP due diligence analysis, providing guidance on and coordination of international strategies, and advising in relation to contentious matters.
Rob has an MA degree in Natural Sciences (Chemistry) from the University of Cambridge and a PhD degree in Chemistry from the University of Liverpool. He has considerable expertise in working with a wide range of clients including universities, SMEs, individuals, large companies, investors and professional advisers including solicitors and accountants.
